Official description[]
The Jedi must stop pirates from stealing a ship.[2]
Plot summary[]
The story opens with RJ-83 completing repairs on Vela's starship. Nash Durango, Nubs, Vela, Lys Solay and Kai Brightstar watch in the background and cheer RJ. RJ gets stuck. Durango manages to free him but causes him to fly offcourse. Nubs rescues RJ. Durango remarks that RJ-83 had been in a tight fit and that bigger is not necessarily better. Vela thanks the younglings and Jedi Master Zia Zaldor Zanna. Brightstar says that they are relieved that they managed to find the parts for her starship.
Just then, the Ganguls' new starship Rathtar's Revenge arrives above Vela's starship. Sellaccc Orryak contacts Brightstar via holoprojector and tells him that she would like to add their two starships to their new pirate fleet. Solay protests against the pirates' plans to steal their ships. Orryak boasts that the pirates are unstoppable with the new starship Rathtar's Revenge. Durango tells Vela that she has a plan to get her to safety but it won't be easy.
Aboard the bridge of the Rathtar's Revenge, Jooro Jarrot and Orryak relish their new potential acquisitions. However, Toda-Joh warns his fellow pirates that the younglings and Vela are escaping in their starships. Over the intercom, Durango tells Vela that her plan is to bait the pirates with her starship Crimson Firehawk. Once they take the bait, she instructs Vela to escape. RJ-83 and Durango lead the Ganguls on a chase. With the pirates following the Firehawk, Vela takes the opportunity to flee.
Durango flies the Firehawk through several natural arches on the desert surface, using her starship's new engines to her advantage. In response, Orryak unleashes the Rathtar's Revenge's laser cannons. Unable to lose them, Brightstar tells Durango that they have to go somewhere where the pirates can't follow them. Seeing a cave in the distance, Durango flies the Firehawk inside the cave, which is large enough for her starship. However, the Rathtar's Revenge's is too large to follow and ploughs into a large rock formation, damaging the starship. Orryak despairs while Joh farewells the stricken Rathtar's Revenge.
As they fly out of the underground tunnel, Durango remarks that bigger is not always better. Once they are in space, Vela thanks the younglings for their help. Durango and RJ-83 take the Crimson Firehawk into hyperspace.
