"According to the information you downloaded from Jzoro, the Elite Council has two bases outside of town. Start with the one south of town."
Captain Baize, to a spacer[1]

The First Elite Council Bunker was a bunker located on the planet Corellia during the Galactic Civil War. It served as the headquarters of the Chirq Council.

History[]

"I have been unable to infiltrate the bunker, and therefore unable to hinder the Chirq Council's research into biological weapons. I request your assistance. Please invade this bunker, retrieve whatever data you can find on their biological weapon capabilities, and take down some of their chemists."
Agent Waray, to a spacer[2]

After the Battle of Yavin, the First Elite Council Bunker was one of the two bunkers that served as headquarters of the Chirq Council, along with the Second Elite Council Bunker. They were both located in isolated areas near the city of Doaba Guerfel and heavily defended. Four of the nine Chirq Council elite councilors were based in the First Elite Council Bunker, Rallyn Secura, Mathazar Zayet, Crale Forte and Atlan Dubreas, while the five others were based in the Second Elite Council Bunker.[1] The First Elite Council Bunker was also used by Chirq Council chemists for the development of bioweapons.[2]

In 1 ABY,[3] the Corellian Security Force started an investigation against the Chirq Council following the increase of ryll traffic on Corellia.[4] Captain Vitala Baize infiltrated a CorSec agent in Jzoro Quanera's Chirq Council cell in Doaba Guerfel. From Quanera's database, the CorSec obtained the identity of the nine elite councilors and the locations of their two secret headquarters.[5] The Corsec first raided the First Second Elite Council Bunker. CorSec forces assaulted the buildings and eliminated most of the guards.[1] Following orders from CorSec Agent Teniel Waray, the CorSec troops also collected data about the Chirq Council bioweapons and killed several chemists.[2] They also found in the bunker the body of Vryim Raeth, an innocent man assassinated by the Council.[6] The CorSec eventually killed half of the elite councilors in the depths of the bunker. After the death of all the other elite councilors during the subsequent CorSec assault on the Second Elite Council Bunker, the Chirq Council splintered.[1]

  3. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
