First Mate[4] was the title held by an individual second in command to the captain of a civilian starship. L3-37 was first mate to Lando Calrissian on the Millennium Falcon.[2] Chewbacca was later first mate to Han Solo on the Millennium Falcon,[1] as Quiggold was to Sidon Ithano on the Meson Martinet.[3]
