First Order Special Forces TIE fighter pilots, also called simply Special Forces pilots, were elite pilots that served in the First Order Special Forces branch.[1] They utilized specialized TIE/sf space superiority fighters during combat. Along with elite starfighter training, like other troopers, they were also heavily trained in blasters and marksmanship.[2]
Special Forces pilots wore a similar uniform to their regular pilot counterparts, consisting of a black jumpsuit with a chestplate with life support gear, pauldrons on the shoulders, gauntlets, a utility belt, boots, and a helmet.[1] Special Forces pilots could be distinguished by the two red vertical stripes on their helmets. Pilots were typically issued with a SE-44C blaster pistol,[2] which could be carried in a holster on their belt when not in use.[1]
