The First Order insignia represented an explosive force pushing against efforts to contain it.
The First Order insignia,[1] also known as the First Order symbol, or hexagonal sigil,[2] was a sixteen-rayed symbol inscribed within a hexagon,[1] denoting an explosive force pushing against attempts to contain it.[2] It was the emblem of the First Order, a movement seeking to reclaim the legacy of the Galactic Empire. Officers of the First Order wore the insignia on their caps, and also as a patch on their uniforms, in the region of the left upper arm.[1]
