A flatstender was a Swokes Swokes whose job was to travel about the vast expanse of the Tract in a landspeeder, tending to pilgrims in peril, maintaining the stone stelae that made up the giant funerary monument, removing dead animals, and reporting intruders.[1] Thousands of such individuals were employed by the Tract Conviction on the planet Makem Te. Burba of Strekk was a flatstender.[1]
