The fleft-wauf was an entity that inspired the patterning on the collar of a coat worn by former Rebel Alliance leader Lando Calrissian while he lived as a hermit on the planet Pasaana.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

In the new Star Wars canon, the fleft-wauf was first mentioned in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo. While the reference book does not specify the nature of the fleft-wauf,[1] it was a creature in the Star Wars Legends continuity, originally created for the article "Wind Raiders of Taloraan," written by James L. Cambias and published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 5 in 1995.[2]
