A flight computer was a type of computer used aboard starships, whose primary purpose was translation of the movement of the controls into adjustments to the direction of the ship's thrust.[2] Flight computers could also store information, such as ship schematics and language information,[1] or run programs off datachips, such as flight simulations.[3] The company Torplex manufactured sophisticated flight computers which were used aboard the First Order TIE/fo[2] and TIE/sfs,[4] as well as an experimental one for Elrik Vonreg's TIE/ba Baron Space Superiority Interceptor.[5] When Tam Ryvora was fixing a racing starfighter, her Aurebesh list of parts included "wiring for the flight computer".[6] When Kazuda Xiono was impersonating a First Order technician aboard the Titan, he carried a datapad listing open work orders. The seventh point on the list, which was written in Aurebesh, read "install flight computer".[7]
