Force Stasis was an ability of the Force to forcibly halt things headed in a Force-user's direction, from people up to and including blaster bolts.
Yoda used this power to freeze Asajj Ventress in place as she tried to kill King Katuunko.
During the attack on Tuanul, Kylo Ren utilized this ability to hold off blaster bolts headed in his direction long enough for him to talk to Poe Dameron, and then released it after moving out of the way.
