I am starting this CT per what was discussed here. The Years and plain numbers section of the naming policy currently states the following:
On Wikipedia, the use of number-only page names should only be used for Years in review entries. However, Wookieepedia deviates from this convention because years are always followed by either "BBY" or "ABY". Therefore, plain numbers (like 1138) can be used for any purpose, with a small exception of numbers between 1970 and 2020, which are reserved for the real-world year articles (when new articles outside this range are created, the range may be extended in five-year increments as needed without need for full CT discussion).
This CT proposes that we slightly alter the text to read:
Plain numbers (like 1138) can be used for any purpose, with a small exception of numbers between 1970 and 2020, which are reserved for the real-world year articles (when new articles outside this range are created, the range may be extended in five-year increments as needed without need for full CT discussion).
This would remove the information explaining why we do it different from Wikipedia, which was added to the Naming policy in 2006.

- I support the idea of keeping the Wikipedia as our womb ... and I have no idea how I would continue this, so I think I'll better stop now. – Tm_T@Wookieepedia:~$ 09:39, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
