We all know about how sidious/palpatine told Anakin (when they were at the theater) about the legend of darth Plageuis (pardon me if i spell that wrong) and how it was a sith legend. Then goes on to tell Anakin he can't learn plageuis' powers from a jedi. Now, anakin knew as well as any jedi that FOR THE MOST PART the only people who might know more about the sith than the jedi were the sith. Is there a reason Anakin didn't realize palpatine/sidious was a sith right then and there, as opposed to later on in the movie? (Aside from the plot of the movie saving Anakin's realization for later) Ewok9007 02:07, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
- Mainly, the "FOR THE MOST PART" you mention, plus Anakin's affinity for Palpatine tripped him up, blinded him to the reality of the situation by giving him an excuse to trust the Chancellor. Palaptine's ability to hide his Dark Side was an active ability he could potentially amplify to cloud Anakin's judgement. DD97Which bear is best? 16:11, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
