Okay, in Star Wars: Empire at War, the Death Star has a defensive fleet of two Vic-IIs and Tartan-class patrol cruisers. So my question is, since the "Battle of Yavin" in that game is replaced by a battle over any planet, should we assume this fleet was present at the Battle of Yavin? - I think that's a game mechanic. Other games have featured Star Destroyers with the Death Star at Yavin, but we see no indication of them in the movie. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith -Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 16:43, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
- We do include the Divad and elements from X-Wing. DD97Which bear is best? 21:37, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, yeah, but at least X-wing takes place at Yavin. So should we assume the defensive fleet was present or just put it in the BTS? Corellian PremierAll along the watchtower 21:46, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, Jason Fry deliberately left out reference to these other ships in The Essential Guide to Warfare, because in his opinion "additions such as the Death Star’s support fleet and communications satellite lessen the power of the stark contrast between tiny fighters and a massive battle station."
