So what's the source on the Legends page for the TIE/Interceptor being able to have Warhead Launchers with varying missile payloads?? Because I haven't seen a source on that...I would have asked on the talk page, but it's still locked.Wolfscar1 (talk) 22:00, July 15, 2019 (UTC)
- My first guess would be one or more of the X-Wing and/or TIE Fighter computer games. From what i've seen on Wookieepedia, i get the impression the games reimagined a lot of what starfighters could do for the sake of making a game more fun/interesting/challenging. 184.108.40.206 22:29, July 21, 2019 (UTC)
- In Star Wars: TIE Fighter sometimes a TIE/in is modified to carry a small amount of concussion missiles. Also, Zaarin modified his fighters extensively and even fitted heavy rockets on them. But yes, in general TIE/ins are not equippable with warheads in the games.
- Star Wars: Battlefront II gave it's interceptors missile salvoes, but this is mostly game mechanics.
- In Canon there are warhead-equipped interceptors, too: In Blade Squadron (short story) TIE/ins fire (anti-fighter) torpedoes, and the new Battlefront games seem to give them missiles as well. Onicle (talk) 18:47, August 3, 2019 (UTC)
