I noticed that the droids Whistler and Q9-X2 made some edits of dubious value. Both droids' edits were mostly turning template names that were written all lower case into Proper case. (So {{mo}} became {{Mo}}.) However, I saw one where "(female human)", including the parentheses, became "(female Human)".
Why bother with these edits? What is the purpose? Will (Talk - contribs) 00:50, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

- I'm not a tech specialist, so I don't know this. Do you give a bot a task, and then it finishes until you tell it again? Or can you just set it up to keep searching all the time for say the top 50 typos and just zap them whenever they occur, and it runs automatically all the time? Enochf 01:19, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- I check on "Millenium" & "Wookie" pretty regularly, and all of the remaining instances are on userpages or are intentional (i.e. a Dark Horse summary that misspells "Wookiee"). -- Ozzel 01:23, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

- At my level of expertise, you have to tell a bot when to do something. We can start compiling a complete list of typos though. It could run through every page except for ones with [sic] and change it. - Starting over. The Great Typo Hunt never dies. The typos always come back, and plenty of them are back now. I just found dozens of instances of "thier" instead of "their," and somebody apparently thinks "turrent" is how you spell "turret." (sigh) My Perfect Bot would also be able to report to me if any one particular page had multiple typos, so I could go back there and check to see what was missed. Enochf 01:43, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

- Uh, why are the droids removing "Unknown" from succession boxes? For the majority of the succession boxes they've removed "Unknown" from, it's really needed. For example, if there's something like "Unknown, eventually...", removing "Unknown" would be fine, but if it's the only word there, it shouldn't be removed. —Grand Admiral J. - The unknown thing was yet one more mistake. The intent was to remove unknown from the infoboxes, not succession boxes. If you guys want to decap them all instead, we can have a vote for that.
