AnilSerifoglu (talk) 22:21, 20 June 2024 (UTC)A little more than a year ago, following a major update of the LG and MOS, we started migrate from an old formatting for our Quotes to one that would rely on the use of references. A great deal of conversion was made through a bot, however, as I wrote this SH, the dedicated maintenance category is still 4500+ articles strong. That's still a lot, but quite manageable, and I think with a little organization, we can handle that to be done with this task before 2024.
As we're 243 days away from 2024, with 4721 articles with {{Quote}} and {{Dialogue}} instances to update, that let us... with a little less than 20 articles a day to do to reach this goal before the New Year. Simply, select randomly an article in either Quotes with obsolete sourcing or Category:Dialogues with obsolete sourcing, that way you will avoid potential conflicting edits. Refers to {{Quote}} and {{Dialogue}} documentation, as well as Wookieepedia:Sourcing, if you feel confuse about formatting. If you have any issue with a page and needs help, the WP:Collaboration channel on Discord is the best place to ask those.
If you encounter an articles using quotes/dialogues from either SWTOR, SWG and/or a web sources, and are unfamiliar with those, please leave those articles to editors better acquainted with {{TORcite}}, {{SWGcite}}, and/or Internet citation templates. At any rate, when updating a page never use a reference for SWTOR/SWG citing only the base game, and never use a naked link/plainlink to a webpage in a reference. Additionally, don't forget that, per policy, comics should either be cited to story arc or individuals issues, never with TPBs or Omnibus (unless citing something exclusive to those, of course).
UPDATE: Cade provided us with sub-categories for Star Wars Galaxies, The Old Republic and urls. If you know how to update those kind quotes (using {{TORcite}}, {{SWGcite}} or internet citation templates), you can find them listed here:
