This page is a Permanent Senate Hall thread. Graestan(Talk) 21:21, February 1, 2011 (UTC)

  • In light of the recent "How do you imagine other users" thread, I thought this thread would be appropriate. Mine is simple; my Dad was called "Cutch" in high school and college, and so have I been. Anyone else? Cutch 06:59, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
  • I liked the sound of the name. The a instead of the O makes it Star Warsy. It doesn't really have much to do with the character, though. Havac 07:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
    • The four dot ellipsis at the end of each opening crawl, bar stupid ROTJ, and at the end of the little GFFA thing at the start. .... 07:29, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

      • i'm going have to say from the clutzy admiral Kendal Ozzel. Mine comes from a sensibility only someone like me would understand lol. It comes from, who else, Gnost-Dural, the keeper of the Jedi archives. he seems to be the most obscure archivist of all, and i wanted something like that. very obscure, yet with a flair for knowledge. the awesomeness of the name was just an added bonus:)Gnost-Dural| Hands off the holocrons, THEY'RE MINE!! 20:37, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

    • I picked up the name after reading This Crumb for Hire, set on the Kwenn Space Station. Later on, when trying to choose a username during my Star Wars forum travels, I picked Kwenn, thinking I'd come up with the name myself. It wasn't until much later that I stumbled upon This Crumb for Hire again, and realized where the name was from - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 13:40, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
      • Well, I am a huge football fan, and I was watching a Patriots game, and Chad Jackson made a catch. I mixed it up in my head and got Chack Jadson. I thought that was a funny name, so I wrote it down. Then, when I decided to join this site, I waas going to be Executor or DarthGrievous21 or Chack Jadson. A line on someone's page, I think it was Riff's, about lots of people being named after Star Wars characters made me change my mind. Besides, I wanted to have a fan-fic. Chack Jadson 13:45, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
        • Yeah, I saw Riff's comment about users taking established names; although in my defense, I wasn't aware I was stealing my name at the time ;) - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 13:48, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
          • My name (Jorrel Fraajic) is sort of like my real name Star-Wars-ized. Basically, I use this name for everything (RPGs, fanfics, video games, etc.). Jorrel Fraajic Wiki-shrinkable.png 15:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
            • Although it's kind of obvious, I got my username by combining my first name with my favorite Star Wars character's name. I created the name when I first started using the internet when I was 10, and have used it as my internet handle ever since. :) Adamwankenobi 18:00, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Just picked the next adjective that came to mind and out of habit still use it on most stuff that requires a login nowadays. I've actually developed a loathing for the moniker, but keep it around for consistency, and because my edit count is high enough now I don't want to start it back at 0 with another name on the various wikis I contribute to. :) Wildyoda 21:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Well, I always wanted to be named Jack, and at one time, I was reading a book about nebulae. In it, it said there was possibly a nebula around our solar system, and they called in "Nebula X". So, I combined the two and got Jack Nebulax. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 21:46, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
  • I am the fourth Baron of Grackle Rock, a tiny Commonwealth island dependency within the Irish Sea that carries a long-standing rivalry against the Isle of Man. The line was initially formed A.D. 1213 through an Eastern Roman beaurecratic error that illegally ceded it (it had officially been part of then-defunct Western Roman Brittania) to Gregorio Talltower, an established Byzantine rook. Since Talltower's death, the fief, title, avion loyalty, and other superpowers associated with "Baron Grackle" have passed on through generations randomly. The grackles really expect me to use my position to punish humanity, but I feel their grudge is stupid, plus I'm lazy, so I just abuse the powers on mundane things. -BaronGrackle 05:23, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

  • NOWIS is SIMON upside-down, which is my real name. I figured that out in elementary school when it was on my lunchbox. Lt is short for Lieutenant. I chose that because it sounds cool, and also because Lieutenant Tschel was the first character in the first EU novel I read. -LtNOWIS 11:27, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

  • As I said on on the other thread, my name came from Green Tentacle from Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle. Why the cowering green one and not the awesomely evil purple one? Well, I tried purple on one site and there already was one so I changed to green. Plus he listens to metal. Green Tentacle (Talk) 12:30, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Copied from Uncyclopedia: Sikon dates back to school. I was writing a programmer language interpreter and needed a cool name, so I pulled a Zend and constructed "Sikon" from the first syllables of my two classmates, who actually had nothing to with the program. After a while, I started using it to refer to myself, although I used other nicks before. My IRC nick, LucidFox, is a rather recent invention, but it's another story. For now, let's just say it's more easily googlable. - Sikon 08:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Darth Nyne actually derives from a nickname I was given by a close friend, Yung Nine, adapted to the idea that N.Y.N.E stands for Not Your Normal Enemy, as to the fact that my personal Jedi character is a Chiss Sith that uses dualsabers that Lock into a double bladed, and when split he holds one in reverse so that the blade runs down his arm rather than away from his body. • Shortly before I joined up here, a friend and I were brainstorming possible names for lesser Sith employees. Because it seems obvious to me that the Order of the Sith Lords must have support staff. Sidious couldn't reasonably manipulate the Trade Federation and train two apprentices and serve in a public office if he also had to take time to balance his own checkbook and do his own taxes and so on. So we postulated the existence of the Order of the Sith Accountants, and I came up with a few names: Culator, Atabase, Expensa, Auditor (pronounced just so), and later Bacus and Ompute. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 12:59, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

  • big fan of greek architecture, philosophy, and culture, so I got my name from that. Normally on most games I use Alpha, because I am an adept gamer (rts) and ussually alpha means first, or top, or best. Something I am extremely interested, Cybernetics, comes from the greek word Kybernetes. the two dont really go together, yet it sounds right, so i use Kybernetes on forums/wikis, and Alpha on games. This is the first time ive combined the two KybernetesAlpha 02:08, 8 February 2007 (UTC) .

  • "Hydronium" because I learned it in a chemistry class and it sounded cool, and "Lord" because just "Hydronium" didn't sound right. Or as an ego trip. One of the two. On other people's names: Havac: I always figured that it was from the character. Nice coincidence, though. Fourdot: I have a friend who for some reason finds the four dot ellipsis very funny. I get the feeling he'd get a kick out of your name. - Lord Hydronium 05:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

He was the first of the couple of "regular" characters we built up our own fanon EU, including a number of short stories, around before the Bantam books came along. And no, it's not related to either Derricote or Daala, as neither were around when I invented him. "Evir" is pronounced with a long "e". Evir Daal 07:55, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

  • I'm a fan of Star Fox and Pokémon, that as well as Beast Wars Transformers (and to some degree the Transformers franchise as a whole), and a bit of Star Wars. In fact, when I was a kid and Pokémon was just starting to kick off as a fad (and around the time Star Fox 64 was the most recent game in the franchise), I actually imagined a storyline of my own that had various Pokémon as Star Fox characters, or similar to that even, and had the plot being lifted from both Star Fox and Pokemon. Anyways, one of the characters I created, an expy on Fox McCloud, was Weedle McHairybug, the last name being a reference to his Pokedex species name, so I named my username after that character. On a related note, another username I go by (not on here, just on other sites) is "Pokeria1" or some other variant, which was also a reference to Pokemon Crew, in particular, the main planet the story takes place on, as well as 1 (mostly to ensure I got into the minimum limit). As you can probably guess, the name and overall role of the planet was also a Star Fox reference, specifically to Corneria, and was also meant to be the planet Pokemon took place on (or at least the anime). • Reddyredcp is an old username of mine I've had since my late childhood/early adolescence, which is also when I made this account. It really only refers to my favorite color (red), which is also the color of my hair; the CP comes from Club Penguin, the community of which I was very much an active member of in its heyday. I was never really creative with names, and generally I just go by my real first name (Thomas) these days anyhow; another "online nickname" I tend to use more often these days anyhow is tommytom (or slightly spelled differently), so you can really see a pattern and the lack of creativity I have in naming conventions, haha. I've just decided not to change my Fandom name since it's a reminder of who I am, how I've grown, and how I've been shaped by where I've come from, something I don't want to ever forget. Gotta love the classics. Reddyredcp (talk) 01:06, October 12, 2020 (UTC)
  • Ember Fist is a reference to the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. It is one of three names the Basern'thor can choose to be the called by Esh-ka led by Hallow Voice. It was unique name so I picked it for my Jedi Consular and have used it ever since.

  • I got this username from when I was making a Roblox account with some friends back in like 2010, and I was going to use the username I used for Wizard 101, iamrobotchicken- based on the show I was too young to be watching, but my friend said that I needed to make a good first impression and to make my name something cool, so what do ten year olds find cool? Zombies. And thus a username was born. The only downside is it is one character too long to be used on many sites, requiring me to use a different username, greenday24.
