There is a Force Power that i noticed was not on the list, and i was wondering why this was. "Nomi Sunrider, unable to comprehend her former love's actions, used a forbidden technique in an effort to stop Ulic's rampages. She used all her power to totally cut him off from the Force. Ulic's spirit was shattered from the effects, and the Force was no longer his to command—or feel"

Do we know anything about this forbidden tecnique inorder to add it to the list of FOrce Powers? Is there anymore information?

  • We do know that it is possible for someone's connection to the Force to weaken or deaden, but we never have heard anything like this since TotJ. -- SFH 05:05, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
"There are techniques within the Force against which there is no defense."
―Kreia

KOTOR 2 talks about this quite a bit. Darth Nihilus was able to cut Kreia off from the Force, and the Jedi Exile had thought that the same thing was done to her by the Jedi Council. This was not the case, but as the Exile regained her power the surviving council of Vrook Lamar, Zez-Kai Ell, and Kavar attempted to cut her off for good, before being interrupted by Kreia. In the game it is described as a punishment reserved for very few, it is not given a name, and it is never called a "forbidden technique", but it is generally referred to as being "cut off from the Force". -BaronGrackle 20:58, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Actually Baron, they're two different techniques. Both the Exile and Kreia were "cut off" from the Force, but still retained their core Force-sensitivity. Ulic on the otherhand had his Force connection severed. A more powerful version of a Force power. Jasca Ducato 22:04, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
    • In the game isn't it stated that the Exile is responsible for her own blindness to the Force? I believe the Jedi Masters all say that she was never truly cut off from the Force.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 22:10, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
    • If that's the case, Jasca, then I submit that this was what the three Jedi Masters were attempting to do to the Exile, before being interrupted. They wouldn't have wanted her to have ANY remaining connection to the Force, after all. And Oblivion, yes, the Exile's original cutting off was separate and her own doing. But I have no idea what to make of Kreia's example... it was done to her by Nihilus, and it is stated more than once in the game that she had to survive "without the Force"... but it never really explains how exactly she regained her connection. I chalk it up to the game's vagueness, along with how the Exile regains her connection while still somehow being some sort of "hole". :-) -BaronGrackle 00:23, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

This power is discussed in the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook, though, as I just gave my friend his copy back, I can't go into any detail about what it has to say (or even remember what the book calls it :-( ). jSarek 05:52, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

    • The reason the technique isn't listed is due to the fact that the technique does not have a specific namep- although perhaps someone should add a note about such techniques. Oh, and Jasca, it is the same technique, not two different techniques, but the one technique used to a different severity. For example, a force push can be used to push, say, food towards Padme (by Anakin in Ep. II), or to give General Grievous a nice push away from you (as used by Obi-Wan in Ep. III). Same technique. Different severity. Big time. Darth Maddolis 12:21, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
      • The power is apparently called "Sever Force" in the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook, according to this. jSarek 12:44, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
