During the Galactic Civil War in 5 ABY,[2] General Hera Syndulla and her New Republic forces aboard the Star Destroyer Deliverance, continued their hunt for the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. Days after their previous encounter with the bulk freighter Yadeez, another comm burst, that they were previously trailing, came through. With no tractor beam, the Deliverance emerged from hyperspace deep in-system in the hope of surprising the 204th. They arrived in an unmapped system with an alphanumeric designation, that was cluttered with planetoids and debris. The Yadeez and its escorts were forced toward one of the planetoids, to prevent them from jumping to lightspeed. The New Republic starfighter squadrons engaged in a skirmish with the 204th TIEs that lasted six minutes before they escaped. Two TIEs were destroyed with no New Republic casualties, other than a single minor injury to Genni Avremif (Hail Six) after his ejector seat had accidentally triggered on landing.[1]

- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Victory's Price begins eleven months after the Battle of Endor, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 4 ABY, and features the Battle of Jakku, which Galactic Atlas in turn places in 5 ABY. Since Before the Awakening establishes that Kes Dameron and Shara Bey moved to Yavin 4 around six months after the Battle of Endor and Galactic Atlas dates their move to 5 ABY, Victory's Price must therefore be set in 5 ABY. Furthermore, the fourth encounter with the Yadeez must also be set in 5 ABY.
