"Drowning and getting eaten by fish? Haven't thought of that one, but run those numbers for me, will you, Glitch?" - ―G1-7CH and Z'Vk'Thkrkza
G1-7CH, commonly known as "Glitch," was a hospitality droid that worked at Aunt Z's Tavern. There, he served the clients, and, when necessary, also simulated various odds about the races while Aunt Z managed bets.
Biography[]
G1-7CH, commonly referred to as "Glitch," was a Hospitality droid owned by the Gilliand Z'Vk'Thkrkza, otherwise known as Aunt Z. During the New Republic Era, G1-7CH worked at Aunt Z's Tavern, a cantina on the Colossus space station, which was stationed on the ocean planet Castilon. The service droid served drinks in the bar and assisted Z'Vk'Thkrkza with calculating odds and taking bets for the station's races.[1]
Enter Kaz[]
- "All right, Kaz's odds of winning now are 387 to 1, with the odds of him exploding into tiny bits of debris, 2 to 1."
- ―Z'Vk'Thkrkza
In 34 ABY,[4] G1-7CH was present when the new Resistance recruit and spy Kazuda Xiono was greeted by Z'Vk'Thkrkza upon entering her tavern. G1-7CH was serving patrons of the tavern when the Aleena Grevel rigged a holo-darts game against Xiono, leading to an altercation with the Klatooinian Bolza Grool. Grool tossed Xiono into G1-7CH, which caused the droid to spin out of control through the tavern and fling a cup at another patron's head. Jarek Yeager stopped the fighting when he fired his blaster into the ceiling, calling the attention of G1-7CH and the other patrons. Later, after Xiono chose Torra Doza for the race Neeku Vozo volunteered him for, G1-7CH and Z'Vk'Thkrkza were discussing odds on various outcomes of the upcoming race. Z'Vk'Thkrkza requested G1-7CH run the odds on Xiono being eaten by fish.[2]
G1-7CH was later present at Aunt Z's Tavern when Xiono came to mope after being chastised by his employer Jarek Yeager for causing some engines to fall out of Yeager's garage into the ocean below the Colossus. During Xiono's conversation with Z'Vk'Thkrkza and Garma, G1-7CH was restocking the shelves behind the bar. He then served a tray of drinks to the human Jace Rucklin, who invited Xiono to join him and his crew for drinks.[5]
G1-7CH was at Aunt Z's Tavern when Xiono, Vozo, and Tamara Ryvora sought refuge during sporadic power outages. When the Rodian ace Hype Fazon arrived at Aunt Z's Tavern to avoid the First Order's fuel delivery, G1-7CH served his drink. Later, G1-7CH was serving patrons, Ryvora and Vozo, at Aunt Z's Tavern when the patrons took note of Xiono traversing Doza Tower's perimeter. G1-7CH and Z'Vk'Thkrkza opened betting for if Xiono would fall, which Al, Glem, and Jooks joined in. Soon after the betting, G1-7CH and the tavern's patrons gathered by the window to watch Xiono, cheering and gasping as Xiono progressed. The droid witnessed Xiono ultimately allude the First Order.[6]
Waiting the tables[]
- "All right, bets are now open for the Platform Classic. Don't be shy, Ladies and Genarians. Put your credits down right here."
- ―Z'Vk'Thkrkza
When Yani and a Rodian patron were discussing the bounty placed on two human children, Eila and Kel, G1-7CH was in the tavern.[8] He was present when the astromech droid BB-8 entered the tavern in search of Xiono.[9] At some point, G1-7CH was present at the bar when two Guavian Death Gang enforcerss entered the tavern and kidnapped Marcus Speedstar's mechanic, the Nikto Oplock, in order to force Speedstar to pay up his debts. When Yeager entered the tavern and challenged Speedstar in the Platform Classic, Speedstar affirmed the challenge. Z'Vk'Thkrkza opened bidding for the race and G1-7CH assisted in collecting bids.[7]
G1-7CH was later present when Al, BB-8, Grool, R1-J5, Torra Doza, and Xiono played a game of holo-darts. On R1-J5's third toss, the droid ricocheted the dart off various objects, including a cup G1-7CH was carrying, to hit Xiono in his butt.[10] Later, G1-7CH was working the bar during a visit by the merchants Flix, Orka, and their pit droid G-LN. After G-LN consumed some blurrgfire, the pit droid went amok and wreaked havoc in the tavern. G1-7CH chased G-LN around the tavern while the pit droid's owners spoke to Z'Vk'Thkrkza. G1-7CH cornered G-LN on a table with the help of Grool and an astromech droid. Grool disabled the crazed pit droid and G1-7CH returned to his duties.[11]
The First Order occupation[]
- "Shh." [G1-7CH beeps]
"I'm not afraid to say it loud. It's the First Order!" - ―G1-7CH as Z'Vk'Thkrkza blames Hype Fazon's disappearance on the First Order
G1-7CH was present at Aunt Z's when the First Order BB-series astromech droid MB-13A entered the tavern and threatened Grevel. Soon after, MB-13A and G1-7CH bumped into each other as First Order troopers arrived, which MB-13A responded to by threatening G1-7CH with an electro-shock prod. G1-7CH fled from the threatening astromech as the troopers insisted Z'Vk'Thkrkza display the First Order recruitment poster. Later, G1-7CH witness Z'Vk'Thkrkza blame Fazon's disappearance on the First Order and object to their presence on the Colossus. Z'Vk'Thkrkza informed G1-7CH she did not fear making her claims loud and repeated them, much to G1-7CH's objections. When troopers came into the tavern and approached Z'Vk'Thkrkza, G1-7CH left her side. When the troopers asked if there was a problem, Z'Vk'Thkrkza accused them of kidnapping individuals. Then the Gilliand demanded the troopers ceased their recruitment in her tavern and tossed their poster for them to take away.[12]
At some point, Z'Vk'Thkrkza was arrested by the First Order and G1-7CH was left to run the tavern alone. The droid was struggling to fill various drink orders when Torra Doza and Xiono came to the tavern looking for Z'Vk'Thkrkza. G1-7CH pointed at the two First Order posters on the bar top when Xiono asked him where Z'Vk'Thkrkza was. Torra Doza and Xiono moved their search for Z'Vk'Thkrkza elsewhere. Z'Vk'Thkrkza escaped First Order captavity with the help of Torra Doza and Xiono, fleeing to the[12] planet[1] Takodana,[12] leaving G1-7CH to manage the tavern in her absence.[13]
After the Colossus was partially submerged into the oceans through the actions of Vozo and Xiono, Al was having drinks at Aunt Z's Tavern while G1-7CH worked the bar. When G1-7CH served Al a drink, the two witnessed Xiono and the astromech droid CB-23 being pursued by First Order SCUBA troopers, which resulted in Al cutting himself off and returning the drink to G1-7CH.[14] During the Battle of Castilon, Z'Vk'Thkrkza returned to the Colossus, assisting in the battle against the First Order.[15]
Trouble at home[]
- "Well, there's only one way to find out. Let me buy you a drink. Hey, Glitch, give me two."
[G1-7CH beeps]
"Are you serious? No more drinks?" - ―Kazuda Xiono and G1-7CH
When the gravity shut down after the Colossus fled the First Order, patrons in Aunt Z's tavern were enjoying the zero gravity experience. G1-7CH spent the time catching floating drinkware and collecting them in a crate the droid carried. G1-7CH caught more floating drinkware in his crate when Xiono fully fixed the gravity.[17] Later, when Vozo wondered if he would make a fine pirate, Xiono offered to buy him drinks from G1-7CH before learning the tavern was out of drinks. The pirate Synara San returned a tray of drinks, that G1-7CH accepted, and questioned Xiono if the Colossus's issues of low supplies would be resolved soon.[16] Later, when Fazon bailed on training with the other aces to get a drink at Aunt Z's, G1-7CH was carrying a tray of drinks through the cantina.[18]
When Z'Vk'Thkrkza was having issues running her cantina due to supply issues, she chose to begin leaving the station. G1-7CH helped the Gilliand pack the tavern's drinkware into crates. When Xiono and Torra Doza tried to convince Z'Vk'Thkrkza not to leave, the Gilliand stated there was plenty of meat on the jakoosk the Aces ran into on Celsor 3 to feed the station for a while. Kragan Gorr volunteered his crew and Torra Doza left to convince her father to grant her permission to hunt the jakoosk. When Al was mourning the cantina running dry G1-7CH offered comfort and patted his back.[19]
G1-7CH was present when Gorr and his pirates returned to Aunt Z's with news of the failed hunt, blaming the Aces. Unhappy with the outcome of the hunt, Z'Vk'Thkrkza informed Torra Doza and Xiono she would be departing the Colossus later that night. After a successful second attempt by Torra Doza and Xiono to kill the jakoosh, G1-7CH, Grool, and Z'Vk'Thkrkza cooked and served the meat in the Colossus marketplace.[19] When the pirate Leoz lost to Xiono in a game with chance cubes, G1-7CH pushed the winnings to Xiono's side of the game table. Frustrated that Xiono kept winning, Leoz cursed the human. Xiono was then encouraged to leave by San. After suffering with the curse, Xiono returned to the cantina to confront Leoz, as G1-7CH waved to a departing Grool.[20]
Form up Team Colossus[]
- Kazuda Xiono: "Everyone, save yourselves!"
- Z'Vk'Thkrkza: "That's it. We have to help them."
- G1-7CH: [G1-7CH electronic babbles]
- ―Kazuda Xiono, Z'Vk'Thkrkza, and G1-7CH[3]
In 35 ABY,[21] G1-7CH was at Aunt Z's tavern when Captain Imanuel Doza ordered the Colossus's citizens to gather in the cantina. Captain Doza requested the help of those present in fighting back against the First Order to assist Ryvora, Xiono, and Yeager in returning to the Colossus. The crowd expressed their collective distaste in taking on a Star Destroyer. Vozo interrupted the gathering with a hologram transmission from Xiono. Xiono and Ryvora pleaded for the Colossus to flee from the First Order. After Z'Vk'Thkrkza stood atop her bar and insisted they had to help their friends aboard the[3] Thunderer,[22] G1-7CH was the first to chime in.[3]
G1-7CH joined the rest of the Colossus's makeshift militia, forming what would later be known as Team Colossus, as they set up arms in the marketplace. G1-7CH wielded four blasters, one in each hand. When First Order shuttles landed in the marketplace and troopers poured out, G1-7CH and the other citizens fled from the blastefire into a corridor. The droid fired at the stormtroopers during the retreat as Z'Vk'Thkrkza closed off the corridor's entrance. When the troopers made it into the corridors, G1-7CH and Z'Vk'Thkrkza ambushed a duo of troopers with blasterfire after the Colossus janitor Opeepit tripped them with his floor sweeper. After the battle, G1-7CH carried a pair of stormtroopers and their blasters out from Aunt Z's as Ryvora, Vozo, Xiono, and Yeager entered the cantina.[3]
Characteristics[]

- ―G1-7CH to a crying Al
Glitch was a hospitality modeled service droid.[1] with a green and beige head and chassis. He had white sensors. The droid has a circle that lit up blue when he spoke, acting as his mouth.[2] He was also very kind, as shown when he patted Al, who was crying over the lack of drinks on the back.[19]
Behind the scenes[]
G1-7CH was first pictured in the trailer to introduce Team Fireball.[23] G1-7CH appeared in the first part of the two-part episode "The Recruit,"[2] the premiere of the television series Star Wars Resistance, which first aired on October 7, 2018.[24] G1-7CH was only referred to as "Glitch" in the series' dialogue and credits[2] but his proper designation as G1-7CH was revealed in his StarWars.com Databank entry.[25] Jonathan Lipow voiced G1-7CH in Star Wars Resistance.[2]
