The GALAAR-15 blaster carbine was a popular blaster carbine manufactured by the Mandalorian arms giant Concordian Crescent Technologies.[1]
Description[]

A Death Watch warrior with the blaster carbine
It was named after the galaar, a common bird of prey that was native to the planet Mandalore. It was a sleek, short-barreled rifle constructed from high-quality materials and was covered in shock-resistant polycarbonate. And while relatively rare, the GALAAR-15 was a frequent item that appeared on the black market. Due to its high-quality design, the rifle became a popular weapon among bounty hunters and other professional killers. Its popularity allowed arms dealers to charge a premium for the GALAAR-15, with even used weapons going above their standard value.[1] Similar in appearance to the smaller WESTAR-35 blaster pistol, the GALAAR-15 featured a angular design that made it blocky and squarish. It was mainly light grey with additional darker grey pieces and was known to fire yellow, blue, or red blaster bolts, seeming dependent on the political allegiance of the user.[2]
History[]

A Mandalorian super commando armed with the carbine
The GALAAR-15 was initially designed for use by the Mandalorian Guard and other military forces during the Clone Wars.[1] However, Death Watch also used GALAAR-15s, along with the WESTAR-35 blaster pistol, in their struggle to overthrow the New Mandalorian government.[2] Cad Bane also used one such blaster after escaping from Republic prison along with Moralo Eval and Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was disguised as Rako Hardeen.[5] When Death Watch split in two, the carbine was still used by the Mandalorian super commandos who swore loyalty to Maul.[3] By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the GALAAR-15 was still in production and was used by the Mandalorian Kad Solus from the Old Mandalorian Clan Awaud.[4]
