This Star Wars Legends article is about an individual who is known only by rank and/or affiliation.

"Swell. A luxury liner crawling with Imperials. And we're going to hold a little tea party for the Alliance ambassador and the Gaddrian ambassador right under their noses."
―A Rebel Alliance operative[1]

The Gaddrian ambassador was an individual[1] who originated in[2] the Gaddria system of the Outer Rim Territories' Oricho sector.[3] During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, they were the head of a faction of senators of the Imperial Senate[1]—which was dissolved in 0 BBY[4]—that was sympathetic to the Alliance.[1]

At one point during that conflict, the Gaddrian ambassador agreed to meet with an ambassador of the Alliance's provisional government in order to discuss the creation of a fifth column within the Empire in order to remove Emperor Palpatine from office and restore the power of the Senate. The meeting was to take place aboard the luxury liner Silver Star while the surrounding affluent and powerful passengers were relaxing and enjoying the cruise, and the Alliance assigned a team of operatives, including the smuggler Roark Garnet, to pose as aristocrats while tasked with ensuring the security of the meeting and the safety of its participants.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Gaddrian ambassador was first mentioned in "The Lap of Luxury," a roleplaying game adventure idea included in the 1987 rulebook for the first edition of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. This article assumes the scenario plays out as described.[1]
