Gafra was a BFF-1 bulk freighter used by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. During Operation Strike Fear the Gafra collected a new experimental warhead from Celanon and transported it to a deep space transfer zone.
According to the plan by Crix Madine and the Sullustan technicians who had just joined the Alliance, they needed the warhead in order to destroy the Invincible and end Operation Strike Fear. Due to Celanon being too well defended, the Rebels decided to attack the Gafra at the deep space transfer zone.
Gafra comes under attack from Keyan Farlander.
An initial Rebel attack left the Gafra damaged and stranded before withdrawing. However, the freighter was still protected by a field of mines around it. Keyan Farlander in a Y-wing cleared them out and disabled the freighter. When that was done, the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle Herald came and boarded the freighter in order to lead it to the Alliance headquarters.
However, when the shuttle was done and the freighter was ready to enter hyperspace, Imperial stormtrooper transports came and attempted to destroy the freighter, but Farlander was able to drive them off.
With the help of abducted Cygnus Corp staff, the warhead was then delivered to the Invincible in a shuttle modified to appear to be an Imperial vessel, and the Star Destroyer was blown up from the inside.
