Gall was an astronomical object with an Imperial spaceport. Following the capture of the smuggler Han Solo by the bounty hunter Boba Fett[1] in 3 ABY,[2] Fett was sighted in the spaceport on Gall having his vessel, Slave I, repaired.[1]

Having learned of the sighting of Fett, Princess Leia Organa recruited a group of spacers to crew the Millennium Falcon, Solo's YT-1300 light freighter, so that they could follow up on the lead and search for Solo.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

In the new Star Wars canon, Gall was first mentioned in the 2016 Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying supplement, Friends Like These.[3] Gall originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was a moon first mentioned in X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, a 1996 novel written by Michael A. Stackpole.[4]
