Gallandro was a male Human mercenary known as a ruthless gunman.

Biography

Early life

Gallandro was born on Ylix, a world besieged by terrorists and revolutionaries from nearby Goelitz. Gallandro spent his youth oblivious to the conflict until he arrived home one day to see his parents murdered before his eyes.

Orphaned, Gallandro was moved from orphanage to orphanage, and when he was old enough he joined the planetary militia. His hatred of Goelitz served him well, and he became an excellent soldier. He volunteered for increasingly dangerous and risky missions, becoming addicted to the thrill of danger and conflict. During a raid against an enemy hospital, Gallandro killed an elderly nurse with no remorse; he had become immune to effects the violence and addicted to its excitement.

Legendary reputation

After the war with Goelitz, Gallandro adopted an outlandish style of dress and became a mercenary, hired out to the highest bidder. Gallandro's exploits became legendary. Early in his career, he hijacked the Quamar Messenger on it's maiden run, brought Geedon V to heel and held a record number of starfighter kills while flying with Marso's Demons. Before long, the quick-draw had earned a death mark on over a hundred worlds. Gallandro was the only case of the Assassin's Guild being forced to drop a contract after he killed half of the Guild's Elite Circle, along with numerous journeymen and apprentices.

After ending his feud with the Guild, Gallandro's services were acquired on retainer by the Tynnan Odumin, providing the gunslinger with a steady, comfortable income. Odumin sent Gallandro to expose an illegal slave trade involving rival Authority executives. To that end, Gallandro went to Ammuud posing as a bumbling offworlder. After collaborating with the Reesbon clan, he intentionally offended the Mor Glayyd Ewwen's sister, prompting the Mor Glayyd to challenge Gallandro to a duel. It was then that Han Solo first disrupted Gallandro's plans. The young Corellian offered to duel in Ewwen's stead. Realizing that Solo was an experienced gunman as well, Gallandro backed out of the duel.

As Solo attempted to leave the planet, Gallandro overcame the Millennium Falcon in his Espo Victory-class Star Destroyer, boarded the freighter and demanded Zlarb's data chip. Gallandro was outfoxed by Solo when the Corellian smuggler brazenly activated the chip's anti-theft defenses while both men were holding it, disabling both of their shooting arms. Han then slowly shifted his gunbelt around to facilitate a draw with his left arm. With his right arm disabled and lacking confidence in his skill at quick-drawing his blaster with his left hand, Gallandro willingly yielded victory to Han, thereby proving Han the better in this contest.

Showdown with Solo

The last time the two met was when Gallandro was working for J'uoch at a mining operation on Dellalt. Han arrived on the planet to find Xim the Despot's treasure ship Queen of Ranroon, and both Gallandro and Han saved each other's lives when a battle erupted with a group of rogue droids.

But as soon as Han found the treasure all bets were off. They dueled. Gallandro was the faster draw and was able to disable Han. To ensure that no one else knew that he had betrayed them he attempted to kill Skynx; however, he hadn't realized that area around the treasure vault's entrance had a "no-weapons" system installed a millennium ago by Xim. Gallandro was vaporized by dozens of lasers which shot out of the walls, and met his untimely demise.

Family

He was survived by his daughter Anja Gallandro, who was a newborn on Anobis at the time of her father's death. She would later try and avenge his death by striking back at Han Solo.
