Gareth Edwards is an English film director, who directed the 2016 Star Wars Anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. His previous films include Monsters and 2014's Godzilla.
He also made a cameo appearance in the film as the rebel soldier who detached the Tantive IV from the Profundity and in Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi as a Resistance soldier in the trench at the Battle of Crait.[2]
