Characteristics[edit | edit source]
GeNodes were unique from other clones in one way: they were unaware that they were clones, even when looking and communicating with other clones of the same template. They were either programmed with, or developed on their own, individual names and detailed memories of fictional lives and histories. Other psychological programming included the inability to retire from or betray the Empire and an inability to discuss cloning with other clones.
Ironically, their being unaware that they were clones was also the cloning method's greatest downside: They occasionally killed each other when waking up to find identical faces due to believing they were imposters in fits of rage and terror.
History[edit | edit source]
While the Empire had publicly banned all cloning, these centers continued to produce at least 40% of the stormtroopers that served in the Stormtrooper Corps. At least four prime clones were used in the GeNode process, although the use of one had been ended by the time the Empire formed, the reason for this being because its failures tended to be spectacular due to often killing each other off.
