The Gelda system was a star system that was located within the Carrion sector of the Outer Rim Territories. The system was connected by the Relgim Run hyperlane to the Delephr and Endoraan systems.[1]
The Gelda system fell within the borders of the Pentastar Alignment between 4 ABY and 12 ABY, and was a part of the Imperial Remnant between 18 ABY and 35 ABY.[1] The system was the origin point of the Geldan sun-apples.[2][3]
Behind the scenes[]
The Gelda system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed the system in grid square J-4.[1]

(backup link) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Geldan sun-apples in relation to the Gelda system.
