- "It's so hard for me to find a match now that I've been banned from the Upper City cantina."
- ―Gelrood to Revan
Gelrood was a Human male pazaak gambler who lived on the Outer Rim world of Taris during the Jedi Civil War. After winning fifteen games straight in the Upper City Cantina, he was accused of cheating. They confiscated his "lucky" deck and banned him from the cantina, forcing him to play in Javyar's Cantina in the Lower City. He claimed innocence and exceptional skill, denying the allegations of cheating.
Behind the scenes[]
Gelrood appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, developed by BioWare.
Another NPC in the game named Holdan has the exact same character model and outfit as Gelrood, despite them both appearing in Javyars's Cantina simultaneously.
