"General Equipment (2) is a volume in the Star Wars Encyclopedia series of reference books published by De Agostini. It was published on February 18, 2022.[2]
Publisher's summary[]
Everyday life in the galaxy could be very different depending on which planet or corner of the galaxy each people or species inhabited. It was not the same to be a wealthy millionaire living in the luxurious Cantonica, where the main activities were playing in the casino or betting on fathier races, than having to subsist in the less fortunate or more inhospitable planets of the Outer Rim, where necessity could lead to eating the most unlikely foods. And although the galaxy was a huge place, thanks to holographic technology it was perfectly communicated. This technology not only made possible the transmission of live or pre-recorded audiovisual messages, but also allowed space navigators to have valuable maps to enter the most remote places in the known universe. Places that were not advisable to visit if you did not have the most appropriate equipment for each situation: gas masks, jetpacks or the irreplaceable bacta were elements that could not be missing in the luggage of any traveler.[3]
