"As I explained to you earlier, I am quite convinced that 10,000 more systems will rally to our cause with your support, gentlemen."
"«What you are proposing could be construed as treason.»"
Dooku and Shu Mai[src]

The Geonosian accord was a treaty that officially founded the Confederacy of Independent Systems[4] after it had been formed two years prior in 24 BBY.[3] The agreement was ratified by the Separatist Council at a secret meeting on the planet Geonosis[5] in the year 22 BBY,[3] shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Separatists and Galactic Republic.[2]

  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 Rise of the Separatists establishes that the Raxus Address and following foundation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems occurred two years before the First Battle of Geonosis, which, along with the other events of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 22 BBY. Therefore, simple math can be used to find the CIS was formed in 24 BBY. Additionally, because the ratification of the Geonosian accord first appeared in Attack of the Clones, the events of which are dated to 22 BBY by Galactic Atlas, the accord must have been ratified in 22 BBY.
