George Takei, born April 20, 1937 in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor well-known for his role as Hikaru Sulu on the sci-fi series Star Trek in the 1960s, as well as several of its spin-off movies.

He voiced the Neimoidian General Lok Durd in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With his role on The Clone Wars, Takei became the first Star Trek series regular to perform in a Star Wars production.

In addition to his work on The Clone Wars, Takei has voiced characters in such animated series as the 1970's animated Star Trek series, Kim Possible, Ultimate Spider-Man, Batman Beyond, Adventure Time and Avatar: The Last Airbender, as well as the "First Ancestor" in Disney's 1998 film Mulan, as well as its 2005 direct-to-video sequel.
