"Meet the Ghorman spider. The experts have a fancier word. Don't they always? They call them "Ghorlectipods." Whatever you call them, there's no denying their dedicated working habits. Spinning from dawn till dusk, never stopping to feed or sleep until the Ghorman sun has set."

Ghorlectipods, also known as Ghorman spiders, were a species of spiders found on the planet Ghorman and known for their silk.[1]

Characteristics[]

The Ghorlectipod was an arachnid native to the planet Ghorman. They were large, blue spiders, that were the primary source for the fiber used in the production of luxurious Ghorman twill. Ghorman spiders spun their webs from dawn to dusk. Forty billion ghorlectipods were housed in webberies across Ghorman, where they spun enough fiber to process 60 million bolts of Ghorman twill every season.[2]

History[]

Members of the Ghorman Front sold souvenir trinkets of the Ghorlectipods to Ghorman's tourists, disseminating information to kindred spirits opposed to the growing Imperial presence.[3]
