Giller was a mustachioed man who served as a senator in the Galactic Senate of the New Republic[1] in 28 ABY.[2] A war veteran who who still wore his medals every day, he belonged to the Centrist faction, whose members advocated a stronger galactic government and a larger military.[1]

Star Wars: Galactic Atlas establishes that the events of The Force Awakens take place in the year 34 ABY and so using simple math it can be concluded that the events of Bloodline take place in 28 ABY.
