Gino'le was a male Anacondan doctor who served as the Chief of Medical Operations on board the Galactic Republic space station Starlight Beacon. He outfitted himself with cybernetic limbs in order to better care for patients.[1]
Biography[]
Gino'le served on Starlight Beacon and examined Sskeer after the Jedi Master was infected by the Drengir. He set up a stasis field to prevent the infestation from advancing. Keeve Trennis ordered the doctor to perform more medical scans in an effort to figure out why he was losing connection to the Force. He suggested that the problem might be a crisis of faith rather than biological but Trennis convinced him to do more tests. After Trennis turned off the stasis field so she could be infested and communicate with Sskeer, he re-established the field and talked to Estala Maru about the situation.[3]
After Trennis was able to free herself from the Drengir influence, Doctor Gino'le placed sensors in her wrist guards to monitor her recovery. He noticed her vital signs spiking while she was meditating and called her to check on her condition. He suggested she come to the medbay but she refused.[4]
He contacted Sskeer who was on the Ataraxia and told him he'd found the the cause of the Jedi's loss of connection to the Force.[5] When the Trandoshan returned to Starlight, the doctor informed him that there were several treatments available for his Magrak Syndrome but there was a possibility that it would permanently remove his ability to wield the Force.[6]
In 228 BBY,[7] Gino'le was present on the Gios where he took care of individuals that Dee had jettisoned out of the Ataraxia in an attempt to escape the Jedi.[8]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, it must be set in 228 BBY. The High Republic: Tempest Breaker establishes the events of the comic series Star Wars: The High Republic (2023) occur concurrently to the events of Temptation of the Force, therefore meaning they must take place in the same year.
