The military rank of Grand General was used by the Galactic Empire during its reign. Although the Empire named twelve Grand Admirals, it only elevated a few to that of Grand General, and the rank was largely honorary.[1] Despite this, Imperial Army officer and zealot of the New Order Malcor Brashin served in the Galactic Civil War as a grand general after climbing through the ranks following a string of victories and his commitment to destroying anarchists and aliens. Brashin became one of the Imperial Army's most respected and feared generals.[2]
