The grand banquet hall, formerly known as the Jedi Library was one of the earlier libraries located in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Its reading room was preserved because of its architectural merit and the room was eventually converted into a formal banquet hall for ceremonial and diplomatic occasions.
