The Great Gran Run was a trade route located which ran between the Mid Rim Territories[1] planet[4] Cerea and the Expansion Region[1] agriworld[5] Kinyen. From Cerea, the route traveled to Chalcedon, the center of galactic slave trade, and then to the forest world of Takodana in the Tashtor sector,[1] a junction with the Biox Detour hyperlane.[3] Passing into the Expansion Region, it went to Chyron[6] before reaching the jungle world Noe'ha'on and Kinyen,[1] the original homeworld of the Gran species[7] and a junction with the Corellian Trade Spine[1] super-hyperroute.[8]
In 10 BBY,[9] Governor Diles Anevi of the Expansion Region, met with Dryden Vos, the public leader of the Crimson Dawn syndicate, to strike a deal to waive certain travel restrictions on Crimson Dawn starships using the Great Gran Run in exchange for financial contributions to charitable causes Anevi cared about.[10] However, Vos lost his temper during the meeting and murdered Aveni.[11]
Behind the scenes[]
The Great Gran Run was first introduced in Canon in the article "Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens?," which was published on StarWars.com on January 29, 2016. The article was partially credited to the The Essential Atlas,[1] the 2009 reference book, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which originally introduced the Great Gran Run hyperlane in Star Wars Legends.[12]
