- "Commander Cody, do you have the exact coordinates of the command ship yet?"
- ―Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Clone Commander "Cody"
During the Clone Wars, a Recusant-class light destroyer served within the naval forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems as the flagship of Kaleesh Separatist General Grievous. In 21 BBY, the light destroyer was used by Grievous to launch an attack on the Venator-class Star Destroyer Steadfast in order to capture Jedi General Eeth Koth. Successful in the attack, the Kaleesh brought the Recusant to the planet Saleucami alongside several Munificent-class star frigates, where it was engaged by a Galactic Republic fleet, resulting in the Recusant's destruction, but not before Grievous escaped to the planet's surface.[1]
