Gualaar[2] were a type of quadruped animal with white fur, black eyes and a single large horn on their head. Four gualaar were used to pull the carriage that carried Senator Padmé Amidala's open casket at her funeral on the planet Naboo[1] in 19 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Gualaar first appeared in the 2005 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[1] They were first identified in the current canon in Nexus of Power, a 2016 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Force and Destiny.[4]
