The Gultanna system was located in the Vadigult sector,[1] a part of the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] The star system was connected by hyperlanes to the Luuq and Manoe systems in the sectors of the same name, as well as the Barenth system in the Expansion Region. By 12 ABY, the Gultanna system lay within territory controlled by the New Republic.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The Gultanna system was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which placed the system in grid square K-8.[1] Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, noted on the Jedi Council Forums of TheForce.net that Gultanna was created for "bookkeeping purposes" so that every sector listed in the Online Companion would have at least one corresponding system.[4]
