Gundark's Gear Datalog was an illegal datalog run by the notorious arms dealer Gundark. It was encrypted and inserted into local HoloNet carrier signals and spread around the galaxy. Gundark offered various types of personal gear for sale, including melee weapons, energy weapons, armor, computer equipment and survival gear.
Informative notes and comments from smugglers, slavers and thieves were often attached to the entries, offering useful advice.
Behind the scenes[]
The roleplaying book Gundark's Fantastic Technology: Personal Gear maintains the in-universe conceit that it is a New Republic–era edition of this datalog.
