The Had Abbadon system was a star system located in the Deep Core,[1] the treacherous central region of the galaxy.[2] It was situated at the coordinates L-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, the Had Abbadon system was first mentioned in the "The Deep Core," an article in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the thirty-sixth issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[2] that was published around September 9, 2015.[3] It was identified as a system in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published with the "The Star Wars Galaxy" article on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[4] In the rough draft of Return of the Jedi, "Had Abbadon" was the name of the city-planet that served as the capital of the Galactic Empire.[5]
