- "General Grievous. This is chief supervisor Poreni at the Akara production plant. I am happy to announce that the latest batch of B1 battle droids is completed ahead of time. As per agreement, we will deliver them to Hakara forthwith, where they shall be ready for deployment immediately"
- ―Poreni
Hakara[2] was a location within the Hakara system, a star system in the Corva sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Early during the Clone Wars,[3] General Grievous ordered a batch of over twenty-six thousand B1-series battle droids manufactured at the Akiva production plant on the Outer Rim planet Akiva, overseen by chief supervisor Poreni, and deployed to Hakara. However, the B1 battle droids have demonstrated poor combat performance, with less than five percent having survived through confrontation with Republic forces. While at the plant Poreni communicated with the droid C-5DS about the performance. In response to the poor performance, Poreni apologized and offered a twenty percent discount on the next batch of B1 battle droids as well as promising to improve the performance. C-5DS accepted the discount and made an advance order of twelve thousand BX-series droid commando units.[2]
In 3 ABY,[4] the scoundrel Kay Vess discovered four transmissions between Poreni and C-5DS.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Hakara was mentioned in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws.[2]
Hakara as shown in Star Wars Legends
In the Star Wars Legends, Hakara first appeared in "A Little Help on Hakara," a short comic strip written by Tom DeFalco and illustrated by Tanya Roberts, published in the nineth issue of the sixth volume of Star Wars Comic UK.[5]

Rishi Station in the Databank (backup link) establishes that the events of "Rookies," which dates itself to be early in the BX-series droid commando's existence, occurs in the early period of the Clone Wars. If the BX-series was new during the early war, then the Clone Wars-era transmission about preliminary BX testing seen in Star Wars Outlaws must have been from the early war period as well.
