Opening crawl[]

THE CRYSTAL RUN, Part I
It is a golden age of criminal enterprise. With the evil Galactic
Empire preoccupied with bringing the galaxy under its thumb,
scoundrels and thieves are free to ply their criminal trades with
abandon.

For the past several years, HAN SOLO and CHEWBACCA THE
WOOKIEE have been scamming, smuggling and thieving for the
vile gangster JABBA THE HUTT.

Business has been good, but Han and Chewbacca are always
looking ahead to the next job and the payday that will score them
more wealth than they can imagine….

Plot summary[]

The client[]

Jabba the Hutt offers Han and Chewbacca a high-paying job: stealing a valuable urn from a wealthy Corellian citizen.

A suspicious partner[]

A condition of the job is that they must work with the Rodian bounty hunter, Greedo, whom Han does not trust.

The location[]

The urn is located in a heavily secured safe belonging to Agustus Graves, an employee of the Corellian Engineering Corporation. This forces Han to return to his home planet of Corellia, which he had sworn never to do.

An old face[]

While scoping out the job, Han meets an old man in a bar. When Han mentions his father's name, "Ovan," the man claims to be Han's father and says he's been looking for him.

A new adversary[]

Corpo lawman, Marshall Buck Vancto, who is investigating a different case but is brought onto a new one involving Han Solo.

What's in the box?[]

The comic ends with Han successfully opening the safe to retrieve the urn, but the contents are not what he expected.
