In 3 ABY, Han Solo was frozen in a carbonite block later dubbed the Hansicle. The freezing was done as a test for Cloud City's crude Class-3 CFC by Darth Vader, who gave Solo's frozen form to Boba Fett for delivery to Jabba Desilijic Tiure. In 4 ABY, Solo was unfrozen from the carbonite block by Leia Organa, disguised as Boushh.
