The Healing Crystal room was a special therapy room located in the Halls of Healing at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. This small, dimly-lit chamber was home to the Healing Crystals of Fire, one of the Jedi Order's greatest treasures.[1]

History

Created sometime during the Jedi Temple millennia-long history, this therapy room was built during the expansion that saw the creation of the Halls of Healing. A simple, dark room the chamber held one of the most prized set of crystals used by the Jedi healers. When the crystals rested within the dim-lit chamber, the room was filled with an ambient and warm glow.[3]

In 42 BBY during a set of robberies the Healing Crystals were stolen by Padawan Bruck Chun on the behest of an intruding Dark Jedi that was hiding in the Temple complex. The Chief Healer immediately notified the Jedi High Council of the theft, encouraging Grand Master Yoda to increase security in the Temple. With Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl investigating the robberies, they immediately stepped up the search. After some deduction work Jinn discovered that the crystals were being used as an enormous power source to be used in a plot by the Dark Jedi Xanatos to destroy the Temple. Rushing to the core generator of the Temple, Jinn reclaimed the crystals, foiling Xanatos' plot. The crystals were than returned to their chamber unscathed despite the misuse they had suffered.[3]

Several years later during the final days of the Clone Wars, the elussive Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious in his alter ego as Supreme Chancellor Palpatine ordered the 501st Legion carry out Operation: Knightfall. Invading the Temple, the clone troopers laid waste to the halls of the ancient edifice, slaying all those within.[2] At this point, the Healing Crystals of Fire would be lost to history, either being destroyed when the Temple collapsed in 27 ABY,[4] or falling into the hands of the Sith.[2]
