Heavy Soldiers,[1] also known as rebel heavy weapon specialists[3] were specialized troopers within the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic, equipped with DLT-19 heavy blaster rifles[2] or Z-6 rotary blaster cannons, capable of inflicting devastating damage, particularly to shields. They wore light armor to aid in mobility.[1]
