In 33 BBY, an election was held in the city Hedrett on the planet Cularin, for the position of Senior Counselor on the Hedrett Council, the settlement's governing body. Karid Blakken, the incumbent leader of the council, was the popular favorite to triumph in the vote, but the former criminal junior counselor Westa Impeveri stood against him and unexpectedly won the election. Blakken suspected that Impeveri had engaged in electoral fraud and demanded a re-count, but, following an investigation, the result of the election was upheld.
