Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY, the Heist on Galator III was carried out on the planet Galator III by a crew led by the scoundrel Khel Tanna and the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca on behalf of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. According to Tanna, Solo and Chewbacca blew the crew's rendezvous, which almost got the crew killed. Despite this, Chewbacca and Solo prevented Tanna's crew from being placed in shackles, and the heist was pulled off.

After the heist, Tanna, Solo, and Chewbacca visited Jabba on Tatooine, who praised Solo for his actions, to the displeasure of Tanna, who questioned why Solo was credited for the success of the heist as it had been her crew that had pulled it off. After the discussion with Jabba, Tanna informed Solo it was the last job she would pull with him as she left Jabba's Palace.
