The brother of the Twi'lek Hera Syndulla was a male who died at a young age[2] by 19 BBY.[1] A design on the left side of the the Syndulla family Kalikori was included to memorialize him.[2] In 19 BBY,[1] while attempting to enlist the help of Clone Force 99 to rescue her parents, Cham and Eleni Syndulla, from the Galactic Empire, Syndulla spoke with the young clone Omega and learned that the other members of her squad were her brothers, causing Syndulla to lament and tell Omega that she was lucky to have them.[3]
In 1 BBY,[4] when Syndulla, who had since become a Rebel Alliance General, was captured by the Empire on[2] the planet[5] Lothal,[2] she was interrogated by Grand Admiral Thrawn. During the interrogation, Thrawn,[2] who had taken the Syndulla family Kalikori[5] the year prior[6] and studied it, noted that one element seemingly referred to a deceased brother, adding that he imagined his death was a bittersweet memory for her. Syndulla retorted by saying that Thrawn would never be worthy of holding or understanding the Kalikori.[2]
